MARVEL COMICS
Marvel never was a huge popular company. and believe it or not, but marvel actually started of making comics! only slowly did it start to grow popular, and then have it's own movies and shows. Here are some famous comics.

AMAZING FANTASY #15
Amazing Fantasy #15 is one of the most famous comic books of ALL time. And for one reason: Spider-Man! Spider-man is one of the most beloved superheroes of all time (I mean who doesn't love a kid that's half spider and half man?). But what about before he was created? Well, it all started in August 1962. Comic book creator Stan Lee was creating a new character for his latest edition of: Amazing Fantasy. He wanted a new and exiting character different to what he usually came up with. But it didn't take long for his ideas to start coming in. "What if we make him a teenager!" He thought. "And give him personal issues that he struggles to deal with." "Oh, and a School bully." Before long, Stan had a teenage kid, with responsibilities that he can't handle, a school bully, a girlfriend, and super powers that he can't control. Stan Lee loved his new creation, but the publisher didn't! The publisher thought it was RUBBISH! However, Stan just couldn't get Spider-Man out of his head. So somehow he convinced him to just put it in the comic once. So they released it to the world, and they LOVED it. In fact the fans loved it so much that the next day, the publisher came running in his office and said: "Stan, we need to make another comic with Spider-Man!" And that was how he was created.
THE INFINITY GAUNTLET
(July - September 1991)
In this comic series, the evil titan known as: Thanos (alien crime lord) ventured off to collect all of the six infinity stones (antient stones with the power of magical elements) as they were said to hold the powers of a god. His first encounter was against the mortal hero known as: Silver Surfer. But instead of killing him, thanos decided to fake his death!? After brutally murdering the elders of the universe, he had now obtained all the infinity stones. The soul, reality, space, time, mind and power stone. However, it didn't take long for silver surfer to come across that thanos was not dead but indeed alive. But when he tried to stop him, he was banished inside the soul stone, where he was sent to the soul planet. Inside of the soul planet, he meets Adam Warlock (former arch-nemesis of thanks), who
offers to get him out. Once Silver escapes he immediately heads to warn the avengers of the incoming danger of the mad titan (thanos). But not soon after that, thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of lives on Earth. After the avengers fatel loss, Nebula (the daughter of thanos) revived herself after being killed by her own father and banished thanos into the interstellar space. Soon after that, doctor strange saved thanos and convinced him to stop Nebula. Once that was out of the way, Thanos went to live on an unnamed planet where he was living as a farmer with out the infinity stones or the gauntlet as he no longer believed he was worthy of them.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR #1 (1961)
One of the most iconic super-hero teams in comic book history is the fantastic four. This team is made up of four iconic heroes: The human torch, the thing, Invisible girl, and Mr Fantastic. They
gained superpowers after an exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space. These cosmic rays gave them each powers. It was in this issue that they decided to team up to defeat a large unknown creature causing damage to the city. Not long after its release, the comic issue was a huge success, leading marvel to make the fantastic four a longtime series.

Originally, comic writer Stan Lee was due to leave the comics industry not long after the release of The Fantastic Four #1, but because of its sudden success, Lee was persuaded to stay on. This went down to be one of the most important vintage comic books in history.
